If you want a real honest assessment from an expert, call up Jesse at Eagle Tools in CA. They do show up on ebay once in a while, but you don't see this one too often. As for cost, probably anywhere from $500 or $600 all the way up to over $1,000. Is it the old Inca green or the later blue color? I like the older green machines in general (Swiss-made), but I think the 710 was one where they did make improvements with the tensioning mechanism of the 3rd wheel when they went with the blue (French-made) saw. Make sure you see it in person and try it out.

I was disappointed that I couldn't get the 710 to work the way I wanted. I am a big fan of Inca and have some of their other machines (including the small 10.5" bandsaw) and I think they are great for what they are. I also had an issue with blades breaking. The saw does have some flex to it (given it's design and 3-wheel format). It also is a lot of machine in a relatively small footprint. It is an extremely impressive machine from a pure details standpoint. Cant be used with the table tilted but can't remember the last time I did that.I had one for a while. Very happy with this upgrade! A bonus is I can take the front case off without taking off the extraction adapter. Now for my other bandsaw I had to modify the case: Please note: Due to Brexit our suppliers are experiencing delays with back ordered parts arriving from Europe therefore this may affect dispatch times on some orders. You can see how well the blade is surrounded to catch all the dust. But for a more secure connection I also attached nuts on the back with super glue. Next is marking the holes where it will be screwed in. I did this by turning the saw on then sliding the adapter carefully into position. Next step is to cut the slot in the replaceable insert. This helps keep it in place and creates a better seal around the blade. This bandsaw blade will fit on any bandsaw which takes long blade with minimum 0.36mm thickness. The replaceable insert is made from flexible material. I use aligning pins "nails" and super glue to assemble them together. The adapter is printed in separate parts to aid printability. Shown here is the latest revision, however it took three prototypes to get to this finished design.

This is how I went about designing and making it:įit existing case without/little modification.Ĭonnect to my standard shop extract size.Īfter a quick few measurements I started to model the adapter in fusion 360. I now get 'zero' amount of dust exiting anywhere else on the bandsaw. The meets chose specificacions, you do not need to buy in additional motor for.

This creates a tight fit around the blade preventing any saw dust from exiting the adapter. Mosc bind siw makers try Model 710 20 Band Saw raises those standards. My favourite part is the replaceable zero clearance blade insert. The adapter is 3d printed and made from five separate parts. Currently they have ports in the opposite corner from where it really should be. I have seen a few posts on bandsaw dust extraction recently and thought I should really add a port to my two Inca bandsaws.
